GCH CH Arkgold Eeveelution CD BN DS CGC TKN, “Eevee”

Eevee is the foundation of Laurelin Goldens, and yes, she’s named after a Pokémon. She is everything I ever wanted in a dog and more. She’s beautiful, brainy, and full of sass. When I was telling her breeder what I wanted in my next dog, I said that I wanted a confident, smart girl that would excel at AKC Obedience and if she was nice enough structurally to be a show dog, then great! In typical Eevee style, she is – of course – both. Eevee finished her AKC Championship in May 2022 and her AKC Grand Championship in August 2023. She is ALWAYS owner trained and handled. If you can’t tell from her photos, she LOVES dock diving and has her Dock Senior title. She also has her Novice Obedience title (CD) and is in training for Open.

Speaking of training, Eevee is such a fun dog to train. She’s smart, biddable, and confident. She also learns quickly, loves to work, and takes corrections in stride. Eevee is very much a “let’s try that again” dog as opposed to an “I’m so sorry” dog. And she can handle drilling for more than three reps without shutting down, which I love. However, Eevee is a lot of dog (in more than one way): she has a lot of drive and energy and is a larger girl at 23”+ and 68 lb. She is a fantastic adult, but was a very busy, mouthy, energetic puppy. Some of her puppies have similar temperaments, and may be difficult for first time owners. 

On the conformation side, Eevee has lovely structure. She is balanced from front to rear with great angulation. Her movement is efficient and effortless with a gorgeous side gait, including holding her top line. She’s clean coming, but does move a little close in the rear. Eevee also has correct proportions that are just off square. Her head and expression are beautiful – she has a strong, but correct head and a truly lovely expression.  Additionally, Eevee has never had an ear infection or a hot spot, does not have allergies, and does not have chronic GI issues. She’s overall a healthy, robust dog.
